very tired of all these CEOs and executives from top companies posting AI generated slop as their own words.

honestly seems like X/Twitter is a big circle jerk of these idiots sharing their unfounded copy-paste opinions or pushing some new product launch. how many times do i need to read about Cursor’s iOS app? it is cool but COME ON. have an original opinion.

i started spending more time on X in earnest to try to get a better understanding of the current tech landscape. after about 2-weeks of heavy usage, it has become clear all there is around is a bunch of human bot accounts reposting stupid questions like “what can AI not do…” and a bunch of YC startups and founders ra-ra-ing mostly Cursor launches, “looping,” and how to grow your X account bs, all of which has its genesis in pundits parroting each other like Elon, Anthropic executives, etc., creating an echo chamber of market and social validation.

what has tech come to? where are all the real engineers and thought leaders? 😔

i plan to return to books, hackathons, meetups, and in-person conversations, leaving Twitter/X to its usual slinging of garbage. i do hope that someday all of those who use X regularly realize they are simply consumers for limited time SpaceX IPO swag trash, crappy paid APIs of their own data, and advertiser dollar revenue generation.

oh! and a note that vibe coding slot machine dopamine hits will make all of us stupid. we are not actually building anything if we have to scrap it the minute we get rate-limited.

i posted this on X as an article and plan to try out Blue Sky in the meantime, hoping for a better alternative, but i am not holding my breath. we shall see.
